Common issues: what to do if the display time is incorrect?

One of the most frequent display errors is an incorrect time setting.
It may seem like a minor detail, but it's often the hidden cause of many different problems.

Why is time important?

Livesignage relies heavily on the internal time of the display.
If the time is incorrect (even by a few minutes), the software may behave abnormally, because the two systems are not properly synchronized.

Problems that may be caused by an incorrect time:

If you're experiencing even one of these issues, the first thing to check is the display’s time.

How to check (and fix) the display time

  1. Take the display remote control
  2. Press the Menu or Settings button
  3. Look for an item like “Date and Time,” “Clock,” or “System

Where to find it on main models:

Samsung: Menu > System > Time > Clock and Date
We recommend setting the time manually and also checking the correct time zone.

⚠️ Watch out for time reset

if the display remains off for long periods (e.g., more than 1 month), the internal clock may reset automatically.
When turning it back on after a long time, always double check the time—even if everything seems to work fine.
