How to manage content in customised formats
(for videowalls, LED or stretch displays)
On Livesignage, you can manage content with resolutions different from the classic 16:9 in several ways, depending on what you want to create.
If you only want to insert videos or images, you can simply use square playlists with the Amsterdam 100% and Rome 100% templates.
How to:
- Click on “Add playlist” in the playlist menu.
- Choose the first format: “Single square”.

- Click on “Add slide”, then on “Create new slide”
- Choose the most suitable template:
- For videos: select “Amsterdam 100%”.
- For images: select “Rome 100%”.
- Follow the template instructions and upload your file in the correct format and resolution.
You can of course insert one or more slides within the playlist.
The playlist preview is, by default, square. So it’s normal for the content to appear “cropped”.
To view the correct preview:
- Click on the three dots at the top right.
- Go to the "Custom size" field and enter the correct dimensions of your display.
Create a custom layout with multiple contents
If you want to create a layout composed of multiple pieces of content, you can use the Widget feature.
How to:
- Create a new widget.
- Set a “custom resolution” by entering the actual dimensions of your display, videowall, or LED.

- Add content as usual.
- If you want to insert videos or images that are not in 16:9, remember to:
- Use square playlists.
- Choose the Amsterdam 100% or Rome 100% templates.
