How do I duplicate a Playlist?
Duplicating a playlist in Livesignage is useful when you want to reuse a structure or schedule, but it's important to understand how content behaves after duplication.
What happens when you duplicate a playlist?
When you duplicate a playlist by clicking the duplicate icon (đź“„), you're only creating a new playlist container with the same slides linked inside. The original slides are not duplicated.
This means that:
If you edit a slide in the duplicated playlist, you’re actually editing the same slide that's in the original playlist
How to duplicate slides
To avoid changing the original content, follow these steps:
Click “Add slide” inside the duplicated playlist.
In the library of slides, search for the slide you want to use.
From the slide options, click “Duplicate” (not “Add” directly).
Rename and edit the new slide safely.
Then, click “Add” to insert it into your playlist.
This ensures your slide is an independent copy that won't affect the original one.
Tips
You can search slides by name using the search bar in the slide library.
Duplicate only the slides you need to modify. If some are reused as-is, you can keep them shared across playlists.
