How to Configure a LED Wall on Livesignage

How to Configure a LED Wall on Livesignage

When using a LED wall, the visible area often does not match the full video output of the media player. To ensure content is displayed correctly only on the actually active part of the LED, you need to set a custom resolution and, if required by the controller, a coordinate offset.

To use a LED wall, you must install an external player that connects to the LED.

Media Player Configuration

  1. Add the media player to Livesignage by clicking “Add Display” in the “Display” tab.
  2. In the Resolution section, select Custom Resolution and enter the dimensions (in pixels) of the area actually visible on the LED wall.

    Example:
If your media player outputs Full HD (1920x1080), but the LED wall only shows an 800x600 pixel section in the center of the screen, set:
  • Width: 800

  • Height: 600

AlertWarning: These dimensions must exactly match the part of the LED wall that will show the content; otherwise, you may see cut-off or misaligned portions.

Coordinate Offset

If the LED controller requires the image to be “shifted” from the top-left corner (0,0), you can set an offset to indicate where the content should begin displaying.

You can do this in two ways:

  • During display creation

  • By editing an existing display directly in the display tab on Livesignage

Where to insert it

In the fields:

  • X Coordinate → distance in pixels from the left
  • Y Coordinate → distance in pixels from the top

Example:
If the visible part of the LED wall starts 200 pixels to the right and 100 pixels down from the Full HD output, enter:

  • X Coordinate: 200
  • Y Coordinate: 100
